Overview: It is a continuing challenge for companies to make their executive compensation as effective as possible, in particular to support the creation of shareholder value. Shifting business priorities, together with changes in the regulatory and governance environment, are placing ever growing demands on Remuneration Committees. Keen shareholder interest, alongside public perceptions and market benchmarking, is having an increasingly significant impact.
This workshop will allow for informal discussion among participants as well as interaction with the speakers. It will contain a comprehensive review of current market practice and trends in executive reward in the UK, as well as touching upon international developments.
The workshop will focus on incentive plan design, in particular the use of both short and long-term incentives to support shareholder value creation. The sessions will consider how to use the total reward package to balance the needs of executives, the company and its shareholders.
